Difference between Nano X and Nano S
The new Ledger Nano X wallet has several important differences compared to the Ledger Nano S:
- The new wallet is twice as expensive.
- The Nano X connects to iOS devices, while the Nano S works solely with computers and Android devices.
- The new version supports some currencies that were not available in the old one.
- Increased memory size. The Nano S only allows you to install three storage apps, while the Nano X allows you to install up to 100.

Device connection process
Steps required to pair a physical device and an application:
- Turn on the wallet by pressing the button next to the USB port.
- Read the Tips. Press the right button to continue or the left button to go back.
- When the Set up as new device item appears, press both buttons at the same time.
- Press both buttons when Choose PIN code appears.
- Using the buttons, select the PIN code numbers (they are confirmed by pressing two buttons simultaneously). The PIN code can be from 4 to 8 digits long.
- Save the recovery phrase. It will be displayed word by word on the screen. Be careful: the seed phrase is only displayed once. Write down all 24 words on the piece of paper that comes with the kit, or somewhere else that is useful to you, but always offline.
- Press the two buttons on the last screen to continue and confirm the recording.

- Install an application Live Ledger to your device and add an account.
That’s it – you can receive and send crypto assets.
Control Center
By holding two buttons for three seconds, you can access the control and monitoring menu.
It contains information about the battery pack and allows you to turn Bluetooth on or off. You can lock your wallet and only access it if you know the PIN code. By pressing both buttons in the same menu, you can turn off the power. This is also where you access the settings menu.
Supported Cryptocurrencies
Ledger Nano X allows you to install up to 100 applications at a time. Each job is responsible for storing a currency or type of token. The previous prototype allows you to install three applications exclusively. At the moment, the wallet supports all major cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Zcash, Dash, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum Classic, ERC-20 tokens and many others.

What is security based on?
Ledger Nano X meets all the requirements for modern cryptocurrency cold storage:
- Private keys are securely isolated from outside interference.
- It is based on the CC EAL5+ certified secure element used in the US in government-grade solutions (ID cards, credit cards, etc.).
- The Bluetooth connection is used exclusively as a transport class and does not constitute an attack point. Even if the Bluetooth connection is compromised, the secure element will request approval for any action.
- Bluetooth can be disabled in the settings, leaving only the possibility of connecting via cable.
- The wallet is protected by a PIN code against unauthorized entry, Ledger Live can also be protected with a separate password.
